　平成25年秋の褒章で，紫綬褒章（しじゅほうしょう）を受章された漫画家・映画監督の大友克洋さんにインタビューを行いました。
　大友さんは，漫画家として「童夢」,「AKIRA」等の執筆を行ったほか、アニメーション映画「AKIRA」,「火要鎮（ひのようじん）」（第16回文化庁メディア芸術祭　アニメーション部門大賞）や実写映画「蟲師（むしし）」の監督も行っています。
紫綬褒章は、学術，芸術，技術開発などの分野で，顕著な功績のあった方に授与されます。

“Knowing the Vastness of the World”
Interview with Katsuhiro Otomo, cartoonist and movie director awarded the Medal with Purple Ribbon at the 2013 Autumn Medal of Honor Ceremony.
Otomo is known for his cartoons “Domu”, “AKIRA”, and has directed the animated film adaptation for “AKIRA” and “Hi no Yojin/Combustible” (also awarded a Grand Prize for the Animation Division at the 16th Japan Media Arts Festival sponsored by the Agency for Cultural Affairs) and the live action film “Mushi-Shi”.
The Medal with Purple Ribbon is awarded to individuals who have shown outstanding merit in the academics, culture, arts, science and technology.
