I have hesitated to upload this song, partly because it is so well-known already, and add to that the recording engineer really did not succeed in capturing the vocals in a good way.
But, it is a happy song about the future and right now there should be reasons for the people in the North to hope for a brighter future. It is now time for the South to carefully begin to distance itself from the USA just like how the North is dealing with China…
I have always wondered why they did not manage to record the vocals properly in this concert. Maybe they were afraid of making mistakes and turned the reverb knob to max? At 0:45 I thought they sang “학교갑시다” but that turned out to be wrong… So, here the Korean lyrics serve a purpose more than usual.
This is a very simple pop song but it was an immediate success. Just listen to the audience at the end forcing the singers to make one extra unplanned bow. I guess this is as close to an “international hit song” you can get considering you live in a very closed country, sing in Korean and goes without any international distribution what so ever.
