The first Grandeek OVA from 2000, also known as Grandeek Sidestory and Grandeek Gaiden. Uploading for test purposes, but what else do we have to do in quarantine?
Not the best OVA out there, but it’s a nice, academic review of turn of the millennium anime industry products. Its main shortcoming in my opinion is that it’s a supplement to a manga universe without standing on its own feet.
It’s mostly frustrating because most viewers can see where it could do better, what it was going for, and what is missing. People who have read Grandeek can feel where the OVA is coming from, but it’s still very much a fan teaser.
A fan teaser for a work that doesn’t have a lot of fans, but could with the right marketing.
