1992年作曲。ソステヌート・ペダルの作り出すエコー効果によって、旋律の一音一音に水の波紋のような残響のオーラを与えようと試みた小品です。天空はるかに冷たくきらめく星の鏡。そこに映し出されるひとつの静かな、それでいて強追的な不安を内包した心象風景。指定以外の箇所での右ペダルは、使用しても良いですし、まだ使用しなくてもかまいません。（西村 朗）

Composed in 1992. This piece is tried to give an aura of reverberation like a ripple of water to individual note of the melody line through an effect of echo provided by the sostenuto pedal。 It is the mirror of stars which are twinkling cold in the distance of the sky, and is an image which is calm, but involving an obsessional anxiety reflected in the mirror. When the player wish to use the right pedal, he may use it at anywhere non designated places. (Akira Nishimura)
