The Ancestral heritage research foundation or Ahnenerbe was established by Heinrich Himmler in 1935. It is an organization under the SS who have ever since the war have been the subject of much speculation, rumors and claims of Occult practices and secret societies.
This have laid the claim to the occult influences and practices of the leaders of the 3 Reich, and in most modern documentaries this organization have been cited as responsible for many dark deeds of the time, however no proper investigation have never actually been conducted.
However the judgments at the Nuremberg trials gives us some clues as the criminal endeavors the Ahnenerbe was or was not involved in.
I have spend q lot of time trying to obtain correct information as to the endeavors and missions conducted under the SS research institute, and I will be the first to say I did not find what I had expected. So in this episode I will try and clarify what actually happened, and unravel some of the rumors and claims of the influence of occultism in the 3rd Reich.
To understand the Ahnenerbe’s foundation by Heinrich Himmler it was however important for me to first release the first episode about Himmler as we need to understand the man before we can begin to understand his historical interests, and intentions, so if you have not watched my Himmler special I suggest you watch that first.
This is an honest review of the Occult influence, the works of the Ahnenerbe the Lebensborn the relations to the T4 program also I will cover the Thule Societies and the more odd claims of the Vrill and Maria Orsic’s involvement. It is I hope a clear rational non-biased overview of events and understanding of motivations. Still far more research is needed and I will update all on what I find as I go.
