自然の猛威、命の大切さ、人と人のつながりなど様々なことを学んでいただきたい・・・。そういう想いのもと三陸鉄道によって企画された震災・防災について学ぶことができる『震災学習列車』。今回の「子鉄ママ鉄」は、東京在住の親子５組が岩手県の久慈市を訪問。実際に被災地を訪れ、自分で見て聞いて肌で感じ、未だ続く復興作業の状況や巨大地震の恐ろしさをこの『震災学習列車』に乗車し学んだ。
ママ鉄になったのは二人の息子さんが鉄道好きになったのがきっかけという棚澤明子さん。
そんな２児のママが本を出版！手がけた著書「子鉄&ママ鉄」シリーズは子連れで楽しめるお出かけスポットやグッズ等ママ鉄には嬉しい情報が盛りだくさんの子鉄ママ鉄のバイブルとなっている。

Akiko Tanazawa navigates us through the series — “Railway Kids, Railway Mamma.” This time introducing the Earthquake Disaster Educational Train that runs along the Sanriku railway line. On March 11th, 2011, many people lost their lives in the Tohoku Earthquake Disaster. The Sanriku railway line that runs along the coast of North-East Japan was also badly damaged. The Sanriku Line not only shows the force of nature, but the importance of life and need for inter-personal connection, through the Earthquake Disaster Educational Train. As parent and child living in Tokyo, they board the Earthquake Disaster Educational Train to learn about the state of the area at the moment.
