Would it be possible that if Russia invaded Ukraine Beijing would be tempted to attack Taiwan, given that NATO and the US might not be able to handle both invasions? Russians are hoping to reclaim Ukraine or set up a pro-Moscow puppet regime. With that insight, Beijing may hope to annex Taiwan after the Winter Olympics. And that would be in just a few weeks. But Beijing’s military takeover of Taiwan will pose a greater threat to the free world.
