Have you ever wanted to send a video to your email subscribers, but weren’t sure the best way to do that? In my opinion, the best way to send a video via email is by linking the video to a thumbnail image in the email.
Here is the step by step process…
1:10 #1. UPLOAD VIDEO TO YOUTUBE
First, upload your video to any video sharing site like YouTube or Vimeo. I prefer YouTube because the audience on YouTube is so vast.
1:27 #2. COMPOSE YOUR EMAIL
Next, you should compose your email. Write the content and come up with a catchy subject line.
1:38 #3. TAKE A SCREENSHOT OF VIDEO
Then, take a screenshot of the video. You can either use the screenshot as is, or you can edit the screenshot by placing text on the image or even the image of a play button.
1:55 #4. IMPORT SCREENSHOT INTO EMAIL
Next, you will place the screenshot into the email. Make sure the image isn’t too small or too large.
2:05 #5. COPY & PASTE VIDEO URL
Finally, copy and paste the video URL from YouTube into the image. Any good email subscription platform (like MailChimp) will have an option to create a link when you click on the image.
After that, you are ready to go! Click send and watch those view counts rise!
